Chatting, photos and clips: how it plays
Choose a woman from the roster and open a chat. She replies in character straight away, usually picking up on some small thing she’s doing, so it feels like you’ve walked into her afternoon. She keeps track of what you’ve told her and invents shared history on the fly (a coffee-shop meeting “last week,” for instance). Push too hard too early and she’ll tease you back without getting rude. Stick with it and you can have a proper back-and-forth about her work, books or plants, then drift into flirtier stuff.
I genuinely like this. So many companion bots can’t manage five lines of normal conversation. FunFun’s can, which makes the romance feel earned rather than dispensed.
Ask for a photo and it arrives in the chat a few seconds later for 2 credits. The key thing is that the face matches the thumbnail, so she stays recognisably herself from one picture to the next. There’s also a standalone generator if you’d rather make images outside a conversation.
Every picture then gets a Generate Video button. Tap it, type a short prompt, spend 15 credits and wait about a minute. The still turns into a short clip where she shifts her expression, turns a little and appears to talk to the camera, without sound. It won’t always follow your prompt precisely (ask for dancing and you may get a slow sway instead), but the movement is subtle enough to pass for real footage, and the face holds. That’s the step that made me want to keep playing.
Building your own FunFun AI girlfriend
If the roster doesn’t have your type, the character designer is a simple menu you work through one step at a time: age range, ethnicity, eyes, hair, body shape, personality, job, hobbies and her usual outfit. When you finish, 10 credits and about a minute get you her first portrait, and it’s a realistic one.
Personality is the setting that changes things most. Choose a more forward, sex-positive type and the slow burn largely goes away, so your custom girl gets explicit in a couple of minutes where the premade women want a few dates first. For people after the full girlfriend experience, the stock cast is the better fit. For people who want to get to the point, build your own.
Plans and what you’re paying for
FunFun is subscription-based, and the membership includes unlimited messages. There’s no ladder of tiers where the cheaper plan loses features, which I appreciate. Everyone gets the same tools. Monthly and yearly billing are both offered, and the yearly plan is much cheaper per month, so it’s the obvious pick if you’ll be around more than a few weeks. Images, videos and new characters use credits separately from chat. Since a photo is 2 credits and a clip is 15, the burn rate mostly comes down to how much animating you do. Chat all you like, but expect video to eat the allowance fastest. Pricing sits at the affordable end of the category, which is fair for this level of conversation and output. Good to know before you jump in
Signing up gets you into a chat and lets you get a feel for the characters, but free users see photos blurred until they subscribe. There are free image and video galleries on the site that give you a fair idea of what the generator produces, so look through them before deciding.
Choose the annual plan if you’ll use it every week. Keep your credits mostly for photos and animate only the ones you love, because video is where the allowance goes. And if you’re coming from blunter NSFW AI chatbots, give the premade women a few messages of normal talk first. It pays off.
