NsfwGPT was a text-based adult chat site. When we went to look at it, nsfwgpt.ai didn’t load. It just showed a “connection timed out” error page, which means the server behind the site wasn’t answering. Sites in this corner go down and come back all the time, so this could be temporary. But you can’t pay for something you can’t open, so this page covers what the site offered and where I’d go instead while it’s dark.

What NsfwGPT offered
The pitch was easy to follow. NsfwGPT billed itself as an AI chat site for adults, built around a chatbot creator. You designed your ideal companion “in just a few clicks,” then chatted with them. The descriptions pointed at both anime-style and more general characters, and it leaned on fetish tags to steer the tone of a conversation.
Everything ran on text. You typed, the character typed back. There was no image generator, no voice notes and no photo features. For some people that’s a downside. For others it’s the point. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys long-form roleplay and doesn’t care about pictures, a text-only site keeps the focus on the writing and doesn’t charge you for extras you’ll never use.
It ran in the browser. No app was listed, which is normal for smaller chat sites.
How the NsfwGPT character creator worked
The core loop was the one you’d expect from this genre. You started by building a character with the creator: picking a look, a personality and a set of tags. Then you dropped into a chat window and took it from there.
Because we couldn’t open the pages, I can’t walk you through the individual creator steps, the filters or what the chat screen looked like. The site’s own summary makes clear the creator was the main feature. Everything else sat around it.
Whether the characters held their personality over a long session is the thing that actually decides if a text site is any good. That was already impossible to judge from the outside, and with the site down it’s moot for now.
The plans, as far as we know
NsfwGPT was sold as a monthly subscription, and its entry tier sat at the cheaper end of this category. There was no free plan. We have no record of a free trial either. Plan names and what each tier opened up (message limits, number of custom characters and so on) weren’t visible to us. On most sites like this, that detail shows up after sign-up.
Honestly, a cheap flat subscription for text chat is a reasonable deal when the site works. It’s text only, so there are no tokens getting burned on images. For text roleplay, the monthly price is all you’re paying.
Where to go while nsfwgpt.ai is down
NsfwGPT sat mid table in our NSFW AI roleplay rankings. It made the list for its creator plus a cheap entry price. Its spots in the broader NSFW AI chatbots list and the full NSFW AI chat ranking were similar: solid middle of the pack, not a headliner. That means there are plenty of working sites that cover the same ground.
My picks depend on what you want:

- EroPlay.ai is the one for storyline people. It’s built around NSFW scenarios you step into rather than a blank chat box, and it also has a free plan.
- Candy.ai is the one if the lack of images always bugged you. It adds companion memory and image generation on top of the chat.
- Mamacita is a straight create-your-own-companion site if the creator was what drew you in.
Good to know before you start
Start free where you can. Losing a site you’d paid for is annoying, and trying ChatUp or EroPlay on their free plans costs you nothing.
If you do subscribe somewhere, go monthly first and move to a longer plan only once you know the site sticks around. That goes double for smaller names.
And if you had characters on NsfwGPT, keep a copy of their personality notes in a text file. Most creators let you paste a description in, so you can rebuild them elsewhere in a couple of minutes.
