My take: five sections a day is enough to see how the narrator writes and whether you click with it, but not enough to get properly lost in a story. If you’re going to use this a few nights a week, skip the monthly dance and go for the annual one-off Bard deal. You get the best model, the biggest allowance and permanent storage, and since memory and quality are the whole game in long-form roleplay, the top model is where I’d want to be. Storyteller is the sensible middle if you just dip in now and then. Price-wise it lands at the friendly end of the category for what it does.
Good to know before your first tale
Start on Starter. It costs nothing, needs no card, and five sections is enough to judge the narrator’s style. If you love it, you’ll know fast.
Use the edit button early and often. Correcting a response the moment it drifts keeps the story on your track, and it means you’re spending your daily sections moving forward instead of rerolling.
