Delur.ai is one of those apps where chat, custom characters, image generation and video all live under one roof. The good news is it doesn’t feel like four half-finished tools taped together. If you like talking to a character and then asking her for a picture that actually looks like her, Delur.ai is going to make you very happy. It’s built for people who want the visuals as much as the banter, and the visuals are where it really shows off.
It sits just outside the top ten in our Best AI Girlfriend Apps and Sites ranking, and honestly the image and video side is strong enough that it punches above that spot.
What Delur.ai looks like once you’re inside
From the outside it looks pretty tame. The public tour is mostly blurred, and the pitch talks about “creating and interacting with virtual AI characters” like it’s a book club. Make an account, flip on mature content, and the whole thing opens up.
The first thing you’ll notice is the roster, and it’s enormous. The counter out front claims over 350,000 characters. Plenty of them come with a scenario already written, so you can click and go. There’s a healthy split between photoreal and anime styles, plus a good chunk of fantasy stuff: demons, fox girls, cat-eared gamers, astronauts, that sort of thing. The profile images are a clear step up from the usual AI chat wall. The realistic ones look properly realistic, and the anime ones look like someone cared.
There’s also a social-style feed that scrolls like a photo app, full of user-made images from tame to fully explicit. It’s free to browse, and it’s a sneaky good way to find a character. When something catches your eye, you tap through and you’re in her DMs.

How Delur.ai works: chatting, generating and building your own
Pick a character and her profile opens onto a gallery of images, sometimes with a short video too. Start the chat and her first message usually arrives with a picture attached. The roleplay is explicit and reads like a person who’s actually playing along rather than repeating stock lines. There’s a button to have any message read aloud. Some of the preset voices lean a bit robotic, but others sound far more natural. Voice isn’t the star here, but it’s perfectly usable.
The real hook is asking for photos mid-chat. Ask for an image and a photorealistic one lands in seconds, same face and same character, with none of the melted-fingers weirdness you’d brace for. From there you can turn that still into a video. It costs a few credits and a few minutes of waiting, and what comes back looks like real footage: actual movement, not the stiff, barely-twitching animation older apps passed off as video. That’s the bit that sold me.
There’s also a gift system. Send a virtual rose (40 credits) and she answers with a new photo holding it. It’s silly, it’s cute, and it’s an easy way to burn credits if you get carried away.
If you’d rather skip the talking, standalone image and video generators sit outside the chat, and the site leans on a big template library for ideas.
Building your own character is where Delur gets clever. You can go the quick route and pick traits off menus, or the deep route and describe her in prompt boxes. Most apps make you choose one approach; this one gives you both. You pick realistic or anime, choose a SFW or Mature style, and then choose from several chat models, which I love, because the model shapes the personality as much as anything you type. After that you pick a voice, set message length and adjust some storytelling options. Leave the rest on defaults if you like. Delur renders her portrait and she’s ready to chat.
One tip: the prompt boxes don’t auto-fill, so the more detail you write, the richer she turns out.
Plans and which one to get
There are two paid tiers. Premium covers chatting and generating, with discounts if you commit to a longer plan. Creative Pro is the full-fat option. It’s currently the only tier with the more advanced AI model and watermark-free images and video. The public pages don’t list the plans; those are shown after sign-up.
My advice: if you’re mostly here to chat and grab the odd picture, Premium does the job. If the images and video are why you came (and they probably are), go straight for Creative Pro. Watermarks on output this good feel like a waste. Take the longer billing period if you know you’ll use it weekly. Video eats credits faster than chat does, so heavy creators will get more out of the bigger plan. For what it does, it sits in a fair spot for the category, especially next to single-trick chat apps like Nastia AI.
Good to know before you dive in
Browse the feed first. It’s free once you’ve signed up, and it’s the fastest way to find a character whose style you like before you spend anything.
Try the preset voices before settling on one. The quality varies, and a custom character with a hand-picked voice sounds noticeably better than some of the stock ones.
Save your credits for video. Chat images are cheap thrills, but image-to-video is the headline feature and it’s where the allowance goes.
